First stop in the Vallée de la Tarentaise

La Tarentaise is one of the six principal valleys of Savoie and one of the major cities of the Alps. It became an Olympic village since the winter games of Albertville in 1992

.

On the slopes of the valleys of Bozel, Allues and Bellevile, the domain offers more than 600 km of ski trails. Constituted of 8 stations, les 3 Vallées are considered as one of the largest ski resorts in the world.

Courchevel

Its luxury and refinement give it an international reputation but the prestigious Courchevel station distinguishes itself thanks to it’s originality. Its five villages are located at different heights which are as many different panoramas and ways to enjoy the mountain.

Val Thorens

At the height of 2300m… Discover the atmosphere and the assets of the highest village in Europe. Val Thorens is a semi-pedestrian town where holidaymakers can enjoy a perfectly equipped village for everyone : from the snow-park to the spa bu going through the sports centre or even the sludge trail… there are enough activities to please anyone. It is time to forget the daily life and breathe the fresh air of the mountains with open lungs !

You just discovered the most emblematic stations of the domaine des 3 vallées, but do not hesitate to hit the road and go to the other ones : La Tania, Orelle, Saint Martin de Belleville and Brides-les-Bains.

It is thanks to the creation of the biggest cable railway, the Vanoise Express, that the stations of La Plagne, Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry are connected.
In December 2003, the ski domain Paradiski sees the day and offers to the winter sports lovers more than 425km of trails and activities for all the family.

Located in the Massif de la Vanoise, l’Espace Killy offers more than 300 km of trails designed to fit any skills level: from the snow plough to the free ride ! This vast area gathers the tracks of Tignes and Val d’Isère with a descent of more than 2000m!

Tignes

Widely regarded internationally, this ski station will not leave you indifferent. Off-the-wall, sporty, innovative and trendy, Tignes offers numerous original activities such as ice diving, ski-joëring, mountain bike or even karting on ice ! Tignes is one of the rare stations where you can ski in the middle of summer and live unique sensations on the glacier of la Grande Motte from June to August.

Val d’Isère

Very reputed, the station of Val d’Isère has become the place for several competitions and original events. From a riders point of view, you’ll definitely enjoy the massive off-piste skiing area. In the town centre, the magic happens : friendly atmosphere, elegance, this lovely village will satisfy everyone’s needs.

Stopover at the Swiss border

The cross-border domain of the Portes du Soleil is one of the biggest ski area in the world. More than 650 km of trails are available in an environment naturally preserved. The ski lifts are hidden in the landscape and the trails are in the heart of the forest. The Portes du Soleil offer a unique activity : the ski safari. It is the possibility to travel ski on feet from station to station and from valley to valley…

For the night sessions enthusiasts, several stations even offer lit up trails until 1 a.m !

Avoriaz

Avoriaz is a small familial town that is perfect to spend safe holidays. The whole station can be covered by ski : the access to the accommodations is through the streets which are in reality secured ski trails. Thanks to the impressive number of way downs, it is possible to ski all week without using the same route twice. Besides ski, numerous activities are offered such as sledge ballads or hot-air balloons rides. Once the night has fallen, busy parties and spectacles on ice will fill with wonder adults and children.

You can leave the village with your skis, thanks to the 48 ski lifts and discover the 120 km of trails. Beginners to experts , everyone will be delighted by the versatility of the runs. A “beginners” zone, an area dedicated to kids or a boardercross are at your disposal. In this village typically “savoyard”, you will be amazed by the scenery of the pines and mountains.

Morzine

Between forest and hills, Morzine the authenticity of the village will charm you as well as the 650km of trails and the 228 ski lifts. The domain of the Portes du Soleil represents the culture of the west of France accurately. History lovers will enjoy the rich past of the town by walking through the streets.This little corner nested in the heart of the mountain will satisfy everyone’s expectations.

La Clusaz
